What we collect

If you submit feedback or evidence, we store the device or platform name, feedback type, written description, an optional supporting link, optional screenshots and their basic file details, your email address, your publication choice, and an optional display name. If you separately opt in to updates, we also retain your email for that purpose.

Before uploading a screenshot

Screenshots are welcome when they demonstrate a sharing route, timestamp, delay, or app behavior. Crop or redact names, dates of birth, email addresses, account or medical-record identifiers, faces, and any health information that is not necessary to verify the workflow. Only upload an image you own or have permission to share.

How we use submissions

We use submissions to verify product workflows, correct scores, identify documentation, improve the index, and decide which devices to evaluate next. Nothing appears as a Community note until it is reviewed and approved. We only publish a submission when the contributor selected anonymous or named publication. Uploaded screenshots remain private, and we never publish an email address.

Sharing and sponsorship

We do not sell submission data or email addresses. The Wearable Openness Index is currently an independent project and accepts no manufacturer sponsorship.

We use Resend as an email-delivery provider to notify the editor when a new submission arrives. The notification may include the submitted device name, written description, supporting link, contact email, and the number of screenshots received. Screenshot files remain in private storage and are not attached to the notification email.

Your choices

You may ask to correct or remove a submission, or unsubscribe from updates, by using the evidence form on the home page and identifying the original email.
